Karina del Carmen Subía Dávalos is an Ecuadorian politician who became a member of the National Assembly in 2023. Life Karina Subía studied law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. From 2013 to 2018 she was a lawyer in an independent law firm. In 2014 she worked for the Metropolitan District of Quito, in Mauricio Rodas's administration and was in charge of regulating illegal neighbourhood. She was then part of the judiciary council of Ecuador. The National Assembly () is the Unicameralism, unicameral legislative branch, legislature of Ecuador. The Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) (English: ''Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador'') is a Pontifical Catholic university founded in 1946 in Quito, Ecuador. History The university opened in the fall of 1946, with Carlos María de la Torre, archbishop of Quito, officiating. Aurelio Espinosa Pólit of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) was the first rector. That fall there were 54 students and jurisprudence was the single faculty. Mauricio Esteban Rodas Espinel (born 15 April 1975) is an Ecuadorian lawyer, social policy consultant, and politician who served as the Metropolitan Mayor of Quito between May 2014 and May 2019. After working in other Latin American cities, including Mexico City, he returned to Ecuador to enter politics. He founded the SUMA Party, and was the youngest person every to be elected as Mayor of Quito. Early life, education and marriage Born in Quito on April 15, 1975. He is a Doctor in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador in Quito. Otto Ramón Sonnenholzner Sper (, ; born 19 March 1983) is an Ecuadorian radio broadcaster, politician, and economist who served as the 50th Vice President of Ecuador from December 2018 to July 2020. He was a candidate for President of Ecuador in the 2023 general election. Early life Otto was born in Guayaquil on March 19, 1983, to father Ramón Sonnenholzner and mother Rosa Elena Sper. He is of German and Lebanese heritage.
