Kari Aalvik Grimsbø
Kari Aalvik Grimsbø (born 4 January 1985) is a former Norwegian handball player who last played for Győri ETO KC and the Norwegian national team. Since her retirement she is the goalkeeping coach at Byåsen HE. Career Aalvik Grimsbø played her first match for the senior national team in September 2005 against Portugal. Previously she had played for Norway in the junior European and World Championships. Before she joined Byåsen, she played for the clubs Orkdal and Børsa/Skaun. She joined to Győri ETO in January 2015, she signed a contract for 2 and a half years. As she stated about the contract: "It is a great opportunity for me, and when such an opportunity arises, it is hard to say no. It’s a dream coming true." Orkdal IL
Orkdal Idrettslag is a Norwegian sports club from Fannrem, Sør-Trøndelag. It has sections for association football, team handball, frisbee, Nordic skiing, alpine skiing and biathlon. History The club traces its roots back to 15 October 1903, when the skiing club ''SL Prøven'' was founded. It changed its name to ''IL Prøven'' in 1908 and then ''Orkdal IL'' in 1926. It was now a multi-sports club. In 1934, ''Orkdal IL'' merged with the gymnastics club ''Fannrem TF'' and took the name ''Orkdal TIL''. In 1945, this club merged with the former AIF club ''Orkdal AIL'' to finally assume the name Orkdal IL. The club mainly operated at the multi-use stadium Fannremsmoen and the skiing area Knyken. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball, Olympic handball or indoor handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the opposing team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. The 2016 European Women's Handball Championship was held in Sweden from 4 to 18 December 2016. It was the second time that Sweden hosts the tournament, after it also hosted the 2006 European Women's Handball Championship. 2014 European Women's Handball Championship
The 2014 European Women's Handball Championship was the eleventh continental tournament for women's national teams, organized by the European Handball Federation. The second jointly hosted edition in the competition's history took place in Hungary and Croatia from 7 to 21 December 2014. Norway won their sixth title after beating Spain 28–25 in the final. Sweden defeated Montenegro 25–23 to capture the bronze medal. Norway's victory ensured their qualification for the 2016 Summer Olympics. 2010 European Women's Handball Championship
The 2010 European Women's Handball Championship was held in Denmark and Norway from 7 to 19 December. It was the first European Championship hosted by two countries. Norway won their overall 5th gold medal, when they defeated first time finalist Sweden in the final. Romania claimed the bronze medal. Venues Three Danish and two Norwegian cities have been selected to host the 2010 Championship. The venues in Aalborg, Aarhus and Larvik were only used during the preliminary round. The fourth venue to be used in this round is located in Lillehammer, and was also one of the two venues in the main round.
