Kapı (film)
Kapı is a Turkish language drama film released in 2019. The film was directed by Turkish director Nihat Durak, while its script was written by Filiz Üstün Durak. The film starred Turkish actors Vahide Perçin and Kadir İnanır, the latter starring as part of his first film appearance after a 7-year hiatus and his last before retirement. Actors Timur Acar, Erdal Beşikçioğlu, and Aybüke Pusat also starred and played leading roles in the film. Plot Woodworker Yakup (played by Kadir İnanır), as well as his family, are ethnic Assyrians that migrated from Mardin to Berlin, Germany. He and his wife, Şemsa (played by Vahide Perçin) moved abroad due to their son Mikhael being killed by unidentified gunmen 25 years prior, with his body not being found. One day during a birthday celebration, Yakup receives a call, and so the family travel to Mardin alongside their granddaughter Nardin (played by Aybüke Pusat) from Germany for identification. Kadir İnanır (born 15 April 1949) is a Turkish people, Turkish film actor and Film director, director. Biography İnanır was born on 15 April 1949 in Fatsa, a town in Ordu Province, Ordu province of Turkey. In the Turkish movie industry (Yeşilçam) he has often portrayed the tough, Machismo, macho guy, fighting against injustice. Kadir İnanır and Türkan Şoray are one of the most famous partners of Yeşilçam Turkish cinema. With Türkan Şoray, he played in Kara Gözlüm, Unutulan Kadın, Dönüş, Gazi Kadın: Nene Hatun, Devlerin Aşkı, Bodrum Hakimi, Deprem, Dila Hanım, Cevriyem, Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım, Aşk ve Nefret, Gönderilmemiş Mektuplar. Midyat (, , , ) is a municipality and district of Mardin Province, Turkey. Its area is 1,241 km2, and its population is 120,069 (2022). In the modern era, the town is populated by Kurds, Mhallami Arabs and Assyrians.
