Kalle Lappalainen
Kaarlo "Kalle" Kustaa Lappalainen (30 September 1877 – 9 May 1965) was a Finnish sport shooter who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics. In 1920 he won the silver medal as member of the Finnish team in the team running deer, single shots event and the bronze medal in the team 300 metre military rifle, prone competition. Juankoski
Juankoski is a former list of towns in Finland, town and List of former municipalities of Finland, municipality of Finland. In March 2014, the Juankoski city council decided that the town would merge with Kuopio in the beginning of 2017. Juankoski is located in the provinces of Finland, province of Eastern Finland, part of the Northern Savonia regions of Finland, region. It covers an area of of which is water. Juankoski formally became a town in 1998. Neighbouring municipalities of Juankoski include Juuka, Kaavi, Tuusniemi, Kuopio, Nilsiä and Rautavaara. The former municipality is unilingually Finnish language, Finnish. History In 1746, Brynolf Brunou established an ironworks near the rapids between Vuotjärvi and Akonvesi. The area was a part of the Nilsiä chapel community of the Kuopion maalaiskunta, Kuopio parish. Nilsiä became a separate parish in 1816 and a municipality in 1869.
