Antun Kalac
Antun Kalac (27 December 1849 – 13 May 1919) was a Croatian poet, writer, playwright, literary translator, and revivalist of Croatian nationalism among the Istrian people. He was also a Catholic priest. Early life Kalac was born in the village of Žbrlini in the region of Pazin, where he attended elementary school, followed by lower grammar school with the Franciscans. He attended high school in Trieste before studying at a seminary in Gorizia and Trieste. In Trieste, he came into contact with a group of Croatian intellectuals associated with the magazine ''Naša Sloga''. Career Kalac became a priest in Pazin in 1875 and was a chaplain there until 1882. He supported the Croatian people through his work and came into conflict with Italian political supporters. Since the diocese of Trieste, which at that time included Pazin and other parts of central Istria, was headed by the Istrian revivalist Bishop Juraj Dobrila, Kalac was able to continue his work in the region. Željko Kalac
Zeljko Kalac (born 16 December 1972) is an Australian former soccer goalkeeper, who is currently the manager of NK Urania Baška Voda, who play in the Croatian third division. Nicknamed "Spider" due to his tall, gangly figure, standing at 2.02 m., Kalac is the tallest player to have represented the Australia national football team. Kalac's preferred playing number (when not the conventional number 1) is 18 and has generally worn this number when playing for Australia. However, when he joined Italian club A.C. Milan in 2005, the number 18 was already claimed by Marek Jankulovski, who joined at the same time, and so he chose number 16. When he transferred to Kavala, number 18 was also taken, so he settled for number 60. Bileća
Bileća ( sr-cyrl, Билећа) is a town and municipality located in Republika Srpska, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of 2013, the town has a population of 7,476 inhabitants, while the municipality has 10,807 inhabitants. History The first traces of civilization in Bileća date from the Neolithic period, although archaeological sites are insufficiently explored. During the Middle Ages, Bileća was located on the boundary of the župa of Vrm and the nearby Vlach necropolis was often mentioned as an important crossroad location for caravans on the way from Dubrovnik to Nikšić and Ključ, near Gacko. Mošćenička Draga ( it, Draga di Moschiena) is municipality in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Croatia. It has 1,535 inhabitants, 90.7% of which are Croats. It is situated southwest of Opatija under Mt.
