KTM ETS
The KTM ETS, commercially known as ETS (Electric Train Service), is an inter-city rail, inter-city higher-speed rail service in Malaysia operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM). The KTM ETS is the second electric train service to be operated by the Malaysian railway company after KTM Komuter, and the second inter-city rail service after KTM Intercity. Having begun operations in 2010, the ETS is the fastest metre-gauge train service in Malaysia and operates along the historical KTM West Coast Line in western Peninsular Malaysia, which has since been electrified and double-tracked. The line runs from the north at , near the border with Thailand, to in Johor. A southern extension from to , near the border with Singapore, is expected to begin operations in 2025, completing the rail electrification between the northern and southern borders. Kampar Railway Station
The Kampar railway station is a Malaysia train station located and named after the town of Kampar, Perak, Kampar, Perak. The Kampar KTM Railway Station is situated at the south-eastern part of town, in the vicinity of a housing estate known as Taman Melayu Jaya. This new and modern station was officiated in 2007. The Transport Ministry has built two lifts at the railway station here to make it easier for the disabled to take the train. The lifts are located near the overhead bridge for the passengers to cross easily to the opposite platform and vice versa. At one end of the station, there is a freight yard. Keretapi Tanah Melayu
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) (; Jawi: ) or colloquially referred to simply as KTM, is the main rail operator in Peninsular Malaysia. The railway system dates back to the British colonial era, when it was first built to transport tin. Previously known as the Federated Malay States Railways (FMSR), the Malayan Railway Administration (MRA), and the Malayan Railway, Keretapi Tanah Melayu acquired its current name in 1962. The organisation was corporatised in 1992, but remains wholly owned by the Malaysian government. History In 1948, the FMSR was renamed the Malayan Railway. KTM is an Austrian motorcycle, bicycle and motorsports brand that is majority-owned by Indian manufacturer Bajaj Auto and Austrian manufacturer Pierer Mobility AG. It traces its foundation to 1934 as Kronreif & Trunkenpolz Mattighofen. KTM West Coast Line
The KTM West Coast railway line is a main railway line in Malaysia. It runs from close to the Malaysia–Thailand border in Perlis (where it connects with the State Railway of Thailand) to the Woodlands Train Checkpoint in Singapore. Running near parallel to the West Coast and serving the West Coast states of Peninsular Malaysia. The line is owned and used entirely by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM). KTM Intercity
KTM Intercity () are diesel-hauled intercity train services in Peninsular Malaysia, operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB). Services operate along the East Coast Line between Tumpat and Gemas and on towards JB Sentral on the West Coast Line. The former Intercity services along the West Coast Line between Padang Besar in the north (and subsequent services to Thailand) and Gemas have been converted to the KTM ETS service. KTM Intercity has long enjoyed moderate success, but increasingly faces competition with road and air travel, as expressways (motorways) increase in number and budget airlines offer shorter travelling time. In 2006, KTM Intercity earned a profit of RM 70.94 million as group revenue, hovering around the RM 65 million mark since 2001.
