KMŻ Lublin
Motor Lublin was the name given to several Polish motorcycle speedway teams that existed in the city of Lublin in Poland. In 2017, a new team called Klub Motorowy Cross Lublin was founded and is the current team competing in the Polish leagues from Lublin. Early history Speedway racing in Lublin first took place on 21 September 1947, when Lubelski Klub Motocyklowy organised a friendly tournament. In 1948, local activists led an initiative to build a speedway track. The team's first recorded league match occurred on 18 April 1956. 1956 to 1958 During the 1956 Polish speedway season a Lublin team called Liga Przyjaciół Żołnierza (LPZ) participated in the South Group of the second league, finishing fourth. Stadion MOSiR Bystrzyca
Stadion MOSiR Bystrzyca also known as the Minicpal Stadium or Z5 is a multi-use stadium in Lublin, Poland. It is currently used for motorcycle speedway and football matches. The stadium holds 13,000 people. The venue is used by the speedway team KM Cross Lublin (speedway team), Motor Lublin, who compete in the Team Speedway Polish Championship. History The stadium was constructed in 1948 and later terracing was added by the Motor Lublin (speedway team), Lublin Motorcycle Club. From 1958 to 1962 the stadium was closed because no speedway team existed in Lublin. Football followed in 1970 and the venue hosted the Motor Lublin football team, including the years when they were in the Ekstraklasa (top division) during the 1980s. The stadium held the 1979 Polish Cup final and on 19 June 1983, a record attendance of 30,000 saw Motor Lublin play CWKS Resovia (football), Resovia. Individual Polish Individual Speedway Championship The 2011 Individual Speedway Polish Championship final was held on 3 September at Leszno. Jarosław Hampel won the Polish Championship for the first time. Golden Helmet The 2011 Golden Golden Helmet () organised by the Polish Motor Union (PZM) was the 2011 event for the league's leading riders. The final was held at Toruń on the 24 April. Ekstraliga (speedway)
The Speedway Ekstraliga (, ) is the top division of motorcycle speedway in Poland and determines the winner of the Team Speedway Polish Championship. It has been called the "richest and most popular speedway league in the world", and attracts riders from all over the world. Dariusz Śledź
Dariusz Śledź (born 15 September 1969) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. He earned 7 international caps for the Poland national speedway team. Career Śledź first came to prominence after reaching the final of the 1990 Speedway Under-21 World Championship, finishing 12th. He rode in the 1995 Speedway Grand Prix of Poland. Śledź won the Team Speedway Polish Championship, Polish league three times and spent most oh his career with TŻ Lublin, Lublin and WTS Wrocław, Wrocław. In 2004, he rode for Peterborough Panthers in the British speedway leagues, during the 2004 Elite League speedway season but only rode in six matches. In February 2009, he was appointed coach of the speedway club Stal Rzeszów (motorcycle speedway), Stal Rzeszów, after previously managing the WTS Atlas team. Hans Nielsen (speedway Rider)
Hans Hollen Nielsen (born 26 December 1959) is a Danish former professional motorcycle speedway rider. He competed in the Speedway World Championships from 1977 to 1999. Nielsen is notable for winning four Speedway World Championship titles. During his career, he won a total of 22 world championships, making him arguably the most successful speedway rider of all time. In 2012, Nielsen was named an Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Legend for his motorcycling achievements. He later managed the Danish national team. Career Nielsen was born in Arentsminde near Brovst, Denmark. He was one of, if not the most successful riders the sport has ever seen.
