KXST's transmitter was near Nellis Air Force Base and Interstate 15, on East Tropical Parkway; the sale of the site is a factor in the station's closure. Black Mountain is a landmark mountain south of the Las Vegas Valley. It is one of the more prominent of the mountains in the McCullough Range.
