Košarkaški klub Železničar Čačak ( sr-Cyrl, Кошаркашки клуб Железничар Чачак), commonly referred to as KK Železničar Čačak, is a men's professional basketball club based in Čačak, Serbia. The club currently participates in the Second League of Serbia. Former Železničar player Aleksandar Nikolić, later a professional coach and a "father" of Serbian basketball, was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame and Basketball Hall of Fame as a coach. Also many famous players and coaches started their basketball careers in Želeničar, such as Dragan Kićanović, Željko Obradović, Radisav Ćurčić. Second Men's League of Serbia ( sr-cyr, Друга мушка лига Србије, Druga muška liga Srbije), previously Basketball League of Serbia B, is the second-tier level men's professional basketball league in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). Rules Competition format The league, operated by the Basketball Federation of Serbia, has 14 teams. From the 2012–13 season, the top two teams in Second League goes to First League of Serbia. The teams positioned 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th in Second will be relegated to the 3td tier – First Men's Regional League. Radisav Ćurčić (, , ; born September 26, 1965) is a Serbian-Israeli former professional basketball player. Standing at and weighing , he played Center (basketball), center position. He represented the Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. Dragomir Grujović was chosen for the president. In the words of the founders themselves, there was the need for a third basketball club in Čačak because of a big number of boys who were training basketball and couldn't find their place in senior teams of the two existing clubs in Čačak. Branko Jorović ( sr-cyr, Бранко Јоровић; born November 27, 1981) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player who serves as the U-19 head coach for Crvena zvezda mts. He played both the small forward and power forward positions. Playing career A forward, Jorović played for Borac Čačak, FMP Železnik, Olympias Patras, Swisslion Takovo, Kavala, Braunschweig, Igokea, and U-BT Cluj-Napoca. He retired as a player with Cluj-Napoca in 2016. National team career Jorović was a member of the Serbia and Montenegro national team at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan. Dragan Kićanović
Dragan Kićanović (; born 17 August 1953) is a Serbian and Yugoslav retired professional basketball player. A tall shooting guard, Kićanović played in the 1970s and 1980s, and is considered to be one of the best European players and scorers of all time, having won both the Mr. Europa and the Euroscar European Player of the Year awards in 1981 and 1982. He was named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1991. On 20 August 2010, Kićanović became a FIBA Hall of Fame player, in recognition of his play in international competitions. He was named the Best athlete of Yugoslavia in 1982, and he was also named the Best Basketball Player of Yugoslavia in the 20th century.
