Hemne Municipality
Hemne is a former municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2020 when it was incorporated into Heim Municipality. It was part of the Fosen region. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Kyrksæterøra. Other villages included Heim, Hellandsjøen, Holla, and Vinjeøra. The European route E39 highway passed through the southern part of the municipality. Prior to its dissolution in 2020, the municipality is the 168th largest by area out of the 422 municipalities in Norway. Hemne Municipality was the 225th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 4,228. The municipality's population density was and its population has increased by 0.07% over the previous 10-year period. KIL/Hemne is a Association football, football club from Kyrksæterøra in Heim Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. Top-level players Erik Hoftun, Ardian Gashi, Alex Valencia, Vegard Forren, Pål André Helland and Magnus Stamnestrø began their careers here. As of 2023, the Men's team play in the Norwegian Fourth Division, Fourth Division while the Women's team play in the Norwegian First Division (women), First Division. History KIL/Hemne were formed in 1988 and were promoted to the 2nd Division in the same year. The club played the next four seasons in the Third Division. They stayed there until 2001, when they were relegated. They went back up to the Third Division in 2003 and the Second Division in 2005. In 2006 they again went down to the 3rd division after a season that was full of long-term injuries to almost all key players. Hemne Church
Hemne Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Heim Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Kyrksæterøra. It is the church for the Hemne parish which is part of the Orkdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a octagonal design in 1817 using plans drawn up by the builder ''Jakob Kirkebygger'' ("Jacob the church builder"). The church seats about 450 people. History The earliest existing historical records of the church date back to the year 1589 when it was referred to as the "Hemne Church of Saint Margrethae" (), but the church was not new that year. The church was a wooden stave church that was likely built in the 14th century. Descriptions of the altarpiece in the old church were dated to the Late Middle Ages. Hemne Orkladal Billag
Hemne Orkladal Billag or HOB was a Norwegian transport company based in Kyrksæterøra, Sør-Trøndelag. HOB was founded in 1937 and merged with Trondheim Trafikkselskap in 2001 to form Team Trafikk. History Hemne og Vinje Billag is founded in 1937, and in 1973 the company bought the Oppdal-based Trondheim-Orkladal Billag and changed its name to Hemne og Orkladal Billag. By 1989 HOB had gotten into an economic mess with the wide range of activities the company was pursuing, including travel agencies, hotels, construction and fur farming. To save the company from bankruptcy the Orkla owned Chr. Salvesen & Chr. Thams's Communications Aktieselskab (S&T), Kredittkassen, and Hemne Municipality went in with to save the company, and sold all non-transport related activities. Within three years the company was back on its legs, and in 1995 it bought 25% of Norgesbuss at the same time S&T increased its ownership in the company to 65%.
