Johann Chua
Johann Gonzales Chua is a Filipino professional pool player from Manila. His nickname is "Bad Koi". Early life Born and raised in Bacolod in the central Philippines, Chua began playing pool at the age of nine. He was often accompanied to the local pool hall by his father who gave him the nickname "Bubwit" or little mouse due to the fact that he was too little to be seen behind the pool table. Chua quit schooling at 13 to pursue his passion and began playing professionally at the age of 19. Career In October 2011, Johann Chua was ninth at the BSCP National Open Pool Championships Overall. In December, he finished 17th at the Manny Pacquiao International 10-ball championship held in General Santos. All Japan Championship (9-Ball)
The All Japan Championship (also: ''Japan Championship'') is an annual international pool tournament founded by Kazuo Fujima in 1967, when there was an all-around completion with multiple disciplines. In the Men's tournament the current discipline is Ten-ball, however for the Women's tournament it is played in the discipline of Nine-ball. The All Japan Championship is currently sanctioned by the JPBA (Japan Professional Pocket Billiard Association). The first 20 years only held men's competitions. It was not until the 21st competition in 1988 that the Women's event was established. Most of the competition period is after the middle of November each year. This is the most famous international large-scale pool event held in Japan, and one of the oldest tournaments in pool. Takeshi Okumura has won the men's tournament the most times, sixteen. Ronato (Ronnie) Alcano (pronounced al-kah-no) (born 27 July 1972 in Calamba City, Laguna, Philippines), is a Filipino professional pool player, nicknamed "Ronnie ''Calamba''" and "the Volcano". He won both the 2006 WPA World Nine-ball Championship and the 2007 WPA World Eight-ball Championship. Career history After graduating in elementary school, Alcano didn't proceed to high school due to financial problems. He then opted to play pool for a living. 2015 WPA World Nine-ball Championship
The 2015 WPA World Nine-ball Championship was the 24th edition of the 9-Ball pool World Championships. It took place from September 7 to 18, 2015 in the al-Attiya Sports Arena of the Al-Arabi Sports Club in Doha. The Qatari capital was the sixth time in a row the venue for the 9-Ball Championships. The event was won by Ko Pin-yi of Chinese Taipei, who defeated America's Shane Van Boening in the final, with a score of 13 racks to 11. Niels Feijen was the defending champion, however, he did not make it past the preliminary round of the tournament. David Alcaide
David Alcaide Bermúdez (born 14 December 1978) is a Spanish pool player. He is a two-time winner of the World Pool Masters, winning the 2017 event, defeating Jayson Shaw 8–7 in the final, and again in 2019 defeating Alexander Kazakis 9–8. Alcaide is a three-time world championship semi-finalist having reached the stage at the WPA World 10-ball Championship, in 2009 and 2015, and the WPA World Eight-ball Championship in 2011. Alcaide has also represented Europe at the Mosconi Cup three times in 2006, 2017 and 2021. At the 2006 event, he was the first Spanish player to compete in the competition.
