Jodie DeSolla
Jodie deSolla (born April 11, 1985) is a Canadian curler from Fredericton, New Brunswick. She is the former lead for Andrea Crawford, out of the Gage Golf and Curling Club in Oromocto, New Brunswick. Currently, she plays second on Team Sarah Mallais. Born in Montreal, Quebec, deSolla moved to New Brunswick. Career Juniors deSolla's first national experience came in 2002 at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where she would represent New Brunswick, playing second for Andrea Kelly. The team would finish round robin with a 6-6 record and a seventh-place finish. deSolla would return to the Canadian Junior Curling Championships in 2004, where playing for Kelly, the team would improve on their previous record. They would finish round robin in third place with a 9-3 record. Andrea Kelly (born July 31, 1985), previously known as Andrea Crawford, is a Canadian curler from Fredericton, New Brunswick. She currently skips her own team out of the Capital Winter Club in Fredericton. She is a nine-time New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion skip, winning six straight titles from 2009–2014. Denise Nowlan
Denise Nowlan (born July 28, 1971, in Fredericton as Denise Cormier) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. She is a five-time New Brunswick Scotties champion. Career As a junior, Nowlan represented New Brunswick at two Canadian Junior Curling Championships and won the event in 1991. The team finished fifth at the 1991 World Junior Curling Championships. Nowlan made her first Scotties appearance in 1993 playing lead for Nancy McConnery at the 1993 Scott Tournament of Hearts. The team included Sandy Comeau and Leanne Perron as well. They finished with a 2–9 record, only beating Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec. Nowlan would not return to the national championship until 2007 where she played third for her former teammate Sandy Comeau. 2011 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2011 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women's national curling championship, was held from February 19 to February 27 at the Charlottetown Civic Centre in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. It was the 30th anniversary of Kruger Products sponsoring the tournament and the first time a Bronze Medal Game was added to the playoffs. 2010 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2010 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women's national curling championship, was held from January 30 to February 7 at the Essar Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The event was described as having a weaker field than normal, as many of the usual provincial champions did not qualify. The event featured only two teams that have won the Scotties before: Jennifer Jones who qualified as last year's champion, and Kelly Scott of British Columbia. Making her first trip to the Scotties as a skip is Saskatchewan's Amber Holland, who won the 2008 Players' Championships. The 2009 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women's national curling championship, was held from February 21 to March 1 at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, British Columbia. 2006 Scott Tournament Of Hearts
The 2006 Scott Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women's curling championship, was held at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario, February 25, 2006 – March 6, 2006. The tournament consists of 12 teams, one from each of Canada's provinces, one from Canada's territories and the defending champion, whose team is known as Team Canada. The tournament was the 25th anniversary of the Hearts. The winner would be Kelly Scott's British Columbia rink who defeated the defending champions, Jennifer Jones in the final. Heidi Hanlon
Heidi Hanlon (born October 9, 1958, in Harvey, New Brunswick) is a Canadian curler from Saint John, New Brunswick. Hanlon is an 11-time provincial women's champion skip, provincial mixed champion and two-time provincial women's seniors championship. She became a Canadian champion for the first time by winning the 2011 Canadian Senior Curling Championships. It was the first women's title for the province. She has played in 11 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Her first Hearts was in 1987, where she finished with a 4–7 record. In 1989, she improved with a 7–4 record, and lost in tie-breaker to Julie Sutton. In 1990, she finished 5–6. In 1991, she finished the round robin with an 8–3 record. She won her semi final match against Ontario's Heather Houston, but lost to Julie Sutton once again, in the final of the 1991 Scott Tournament of Hearts. Desirée Owen
Desirée Owen (née Robertson) is a curler from Grande Prairie, Alberta. Career Owen won two provincial junior titles- in 2003 and in 2005. At the 2003 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, her Alberta team lost to Saskatchewan's Marliese Kasner (then Miller) in the semi-fina 2005 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, In 2005, her team posted an undefeated record after the round robin, but ended up losing to New Brunswick's Andrea Kelly in the fina Owen played third for Crystal Webster until she took the 2009-10 curling season off to have a baby.
