Jiangyan
Jiangyan District () is one of three urban districts of the city of Taizhou, Jiangsu province, having been, until December 2012, a county-level city. Jiangyan is noted for being the birthplace of the former General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Hu Jintao. History Formerly called Taixian or Taihsien (), Jiangyan was a county by the end of the Western Han Dynasty. It has relics from the Zhou Dynasty and a Buddha statue from the Tang Dynasty. It was a town in the Qing Dynasty Jiangyan has previously also been called Hailu (), Wuling (), and Taizhou (). In July 1994, the name was changed to Jiangyan and city status obtained. The Qintong Boat Festival () has a long history going back to the Ming Dynasty, and is growing in importance as a tourist destination in eastern China. Taizhou, Jiangsu
Tàizhōu is a prefecture-level city in central Jiangsu province in eastern China. Situated on the north bank of the Yangtze River, it borders Nantong to the east, Yancheng to the north and Yangzhou to the west. The 2020 Chinese census counted its population at 4,512,762 of whom 1,728,408 live in the built-up (''or metro'') area made of three urban districts ('' Hailing, Jiangyan and Gaogang''). Qintong Boat Festival
Qintong Boat Festival () is an annual event in Jiangyan, Jiangsu, China. It has a long history since Ming Dynasty, and it is becoming an important tourist destination in the whole eastern China with the highlight of the Dragon Boat Racing. The People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN; ), also known as the People's Navy, Chinese Navy, or PLA Navy, is the maritime service branch of the People's Liberation Army. The PLAN traces its lineage to naval units fighting during the Chinese Civil War and was established on 23 April 1949. Dongtai () is a coastal county-level city under the administration of Yancheng, Jiangsu province, China. It has a population of roughly 1,170,000 estimated for 2007. Xinghua, Jiangsu
Xinghua () is a county-level city under the administration of Taizhou, Jiangsu, Taizhou, Jiangsu province, China. It is located in the central part of Jiangsu Province. It borders the prefecture-level city, prefecture-level cities of Yancheng to the north and east and Yangzhou to the west.
