Jeth Weinrich
Jeth Weinrich is a Canadian documentary filmmaker, and music video and commercial director. Early life Weinrich was born in Pittsburgh in 1951 and grew up in Calgary; he was valedictorian of his graduating class at Viscount Bennett High School in 1978. He played for the Calgary Colts of the Canadian Junior Football League for two years, but his football career was ended by an injury and he temporarily left Calgary to attend the Parsons School of Design in New York. Career After working as an assistant to Oliver Stone, Weinrich returned to Calgary and founded Red Motel Pictures. He produced and directed the 1990 documentary ''Moon of the Desperados'', about the American Bullrider, which was nominated for Best Sports Program at the 5th Gemini Awards. Juno Awards Of 1996
The Juno Awards of 1996, representing Canadian music industry achievements of the previous year, were awarded on 10 March 1996 in Hamilton, Ontario at a ceremony in the Copps Coliseum. Anne Murray was the host for the ceremonies, which were broadcast on CBC Television. Quebec-based independent classical label Analekta Records boycotted the Junos after failing to receive a Juno nomination after attempts for five years. Analekta claimed its sales were twice that of CBC Records. Several record stores such as CD Plus, HMV, Sunrise and Music World also intended to boycott the Junos because competing music retailer Columbia House had signed on as a Juno advertiser. Nominations were announced 31 January 1996. Prominent nominees were Alanis Morissette and Shania Twain who had recent internationally successful albums who both won Grammy Awards on 28 February 1996. "Could I Be Your Girl" is a song by Jann Arden, released as a single in 1994 from her second album ''Living Under June''. The song reached number three in Canada and topped the country's ''RPM'' Adult Contemporary chart for one week. Candlebox
Candlebox is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington. Since its formation in 1990, the group has released seven studio albums, several charting singles, a compilation, and a CD+DVD. Candlebox found immediate success with the release of its self-titled debut album in July 1993. ''Candlebox'' featured four singles: "Change", "You", " Far Behind" and "Cover Me". "Far Behind" reached the top 20, and the album was certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA. The band's next album, ''Lucy'' (1995), was certified gold, and was followed three years later by '' Happy Pills'' (1998). After troubles with its record company, Candlebox broke up in 2000. Raphael Mazzucco, or Rafael Mazzucco, is a Canadian fashion, art and music photographer. His photographs have appeared on the cover of three ''Sports Illustrated'' '' Swimsuit Issues'' in a four-year span, including the 2006, 2008 and 2009 main cover images, as well as the books: '' Sports Illustrated: Exposure'' (2006, Time, Inc. Junkhouse
Junkhouse was a Canadian rock band, formed during 1989 in Hamilton, Ontario. They released three albums during the 1990s, which spawned numerous charting singles in Canada. They initially disbanded in 1998, and reformed for various one-off shows afterwards. History Formed in 1989 in Hamilton, Ontario, the band consisted of vocalist and guitarist Tom Wilson, guitarist Dan Achen, bassist Russ Wilson, and drummer Ray Farrugia (despite their shared surname, Tom and Russ Wilson are not related).
