Jarred Land
Jarred Land (born May 30, 1975) is an American film producer, cinematographer, photographer, and the current president and co-owner of RED Digital Cinema Camera Company, Red Digital Cinema Camera Company and Red Studios Hollywood. Career In 2003, Jarred started the forum DVXuser.com to seek help from professionals about the use of his Panasonic AG-DVX100, DVX100 camera. In 2004, he joined forces with Nick Bicanic to form Purposelabs to establish himself in the cinematography industry. On DVXuser.com, he met Jim Jannard, the founder of Red Digital Camera. In 2006, Land introduced REDuser.net because of the rapid increase in the number of users of the RED section and to educate people about the use of a RED camera that was in the process of development at that time. After collaborating on several projects with Jannard, Land took over Red Digital Cinema Camera Company upon the resignation of Jannard in 2013. He has over 50 patents awarded to his name. Red Digital Cinema (''Red Digital Cinema Camera Company'') is an American company that manufactures professional digital cinematography cameras and accessories. The company's headquarters is in Foothill Ranch, California, with studios in Hollywood, California. History Red Digital Cinema was founded by Jim Jannard, who had previously founded Oakley. Red Studios Hollywood
Red Studios Hollywood, formerly Desilu Cahuenga Studio and Ren-Mar Studios, is a rental studio located at 846 N. Cahuenga Blvd. in Hollywood, California, on premises that were formerly the home of Desilu Productions. Originally it was the site of Metro Pictures Back Lot #3 in 1920. In 1947 it was rebuilt as a 9-stage studio called Equity Pictures and became Motion Picture Center Studios a year later. It has been used for a wide variety of film and television production, and the studio has been known by many different names. In 1953, after filming the first two seasons of the ''I Love Lucy'' TV series at General Service Studios, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were looking for a larger studio. Panasonic AG-DVX100
The Panasonic AG-DVX100 was released in October 2002. Its 60Hz version was the first consumer-affordable digital camcorder capable of recording video at 24 progressive frames per second. The last revision was the DVX100B(E) (2005). The camera records to tape, but third party developers have modified DVX100 cameras to dump raw images to a tethered laptop. However, the company most known for doing this, Reel Stream, is no longer operational. For the Chinese market, the series was badged as "AG-DVC180/A/B". They are otherwise identical to the European PAL AG-DVC180E.
