Jan Klawiter
Jan Klawiter (born 10 November 1950) is a Polish politician. Since 2015 he has been a member of the Sejm from the parliamentary constituency of Gdynia. He was also mayor of his hometown of Rumia for ten years. Personal life Klawiter is of Kashubian descent. In 1973 he graduated from Gdańsk University of Technology and received his PhD when he defended his doctoral dissertation in 1982 on the implementation of liquid chromatographs. In 1977 he married Urszula Wruk. In 1979 the couple had twins, although both died during birth. In 1983 their daughter Małgorzata was born. Klawiter is a devout Roman Catholic and a member of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. In his youth he was the president of the local chapter of Catholic Action. Political career Klawiter served as mayor of his home town of Rumia from 1992 to 2002. Law And Justice (Poland)
Law and Justice ( pl, Prawo i Sprawiedliwość , PiS) is a right-wing populist and national-conservative political party in Poland. Its chairman is Jarosław Kaczyński. It was founded in 2001 by Jarosław and Lech Kaczyński as a direct successor of the Centre Agreement after it split from the Solidarity Electoral Action (AWS). It managed to win the 2005 parliamentary and presidential elections, after which Lech became the president of Poland. It headed a parliamentary coalition with the League of Polish Families and Self-Defence of the Republic of Poland between 2005 and the 2007 election. It placed second and they remained in the parliamentary opposition until 2015. It regained the presidency in the 2015 election, and later won a majority of seats in the parliamentary election. Edwin Frederick O'Brien
Edwin Frederick O'Brien (born April 8, 1939) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He has been a cardinal since 2012 and headed the Order of the Holy Sepulchre from 2011 to 2019. O'Brien served as archbishop of the Archdiocese of Baltimore from 2007 to 2011 and as archbishop of the Archdiocese of the Military Services, USA, from 1997 to 2007. He was an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of New York from 1996 to 1997.
