James Booth (born David Noel Geeves; 19 December 1927 – 11 August 2005) was an English film, stage and television actor and screenwriter. He is best known for his role as Henry Hook (VC), Private Henry Hook in ''Zulu (1964 film), Zulu.'' ''Variety'' called him "a punchy blend of toughness, potential evil and irresistible charm."Obituary: JAMES BOOTH ; Leading actor of the 1960s who specialised in playing cheerful cockneys: [First Edition] Vallance, Tom. Croydon is a large town in south London, England, south of Charing Cross. Part of the London Borough of Croydon, a local government district of Greater London.
