"Jag Ghoomeya" (English: Toured the world) is a Punjabi song from the soundtrack of 2016 Indian film ''Sultan''. The song is written by Irshad Kamil, composed by Vishal–Shekhar and sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. It is picturised upon Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma for the film. The song also has an audio version by Salman Khan, and a female version by Neha Bhasin picturised upon Anushka Sharma. Critical reception "Filmbeat" described the song as melodic. "Zee News" in its review wrote, Soothing like a spring breeze, the lilting track will immerse deep down in you. A romantic and gripping number, expresses the on-screen character 'Sultan Ali Khan' ( Salman's) feelings for 'Aarfa' ( Anushka). "Pinkvilla" wrote the song Jag Ghoomeya is mesmerising. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan (Punjabi, ; born 9 December 1974) is a Pakistani Singer, primarily of Qawwali, a form of Sufi devotional music. Khan is one of the biggest and highest paid singers in Pakistan. He is the nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, son of Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan and grandson of Qawwali singer Fateh Ali Khan. In addition to Qawwali, he also performs ghazals and other light music. He is also popular as a playback singer in Hindi cinema and the Pakistan film industry. Early life Rahat was born into a Punjabi family of Qawwals and classical singers in Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan. He is the son of Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan, grandson of Fateh Ali Khan and the nephew of legendary Qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. 9th Mirchi Music Awards
The 9th Mirchi Music Awards, presented by the Radio Mirchi, honoured the best of Hindi music from the year 2016. The ceremony was held on 18 February 2017 at the Dome @ National Sports Club of India, Mumbai and was hosted by Sonu Nigam. There were many performances, including those by Amit Trivedi, Papon, Badshah, Armaan Malik, Sukhwinder Singh, Jubin Nautiyal, Shalmali Kholgade, Neeti Mohan, Neha Bhasin.
