Jack 2 (radio Station)
Jack 2 (referred to on air as ''Jack 2 Hits'') is an Independent Local Radio station broadcasting in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom on the Oxfordshire DAB multiplex and previously in Surrey and Hampshire on DAB and online. Until April 2020, it also broadcast on FM in Oxfordshire on 107.9FM. It is a music-heavy station with only limited speech, instead allowing listeners to control the music and submit recordings of themselves to be played (through WhatsApp or the Jack 2 Hits app). The station is aimed at an young adult-contemporary audience and plays seven hours per week of specialist music as required by Ofcom. Jack 2 competes with Heart South, BBC Radio Oxford, First FM and sister station Jack FM, as well as some online Community Radio and DAB stations in Oxfordshire. Eynsham
Eynsham is an English village and civil parish in Oxfordshire, about north-west of Oxford and east of Witney. The 2011 Census recorded a parish population of 4,648. It was estimated at 5,087 in 2020. History Eynsham grew up near the historically important ford of Swinford on the River Thames flood plain. Excavations have shown that the site was used in the Bronze Age (3000–300 BCE) for a rectilinear enclosure edging a gravel terrace. The ''Anglo-Saxon Chronicle'' records Eynsham as ''Egonesham'' and describes it as one of four towns that the Saxons captured from the Britons in 571 CE. Evidence has been found of 6th–7th-century Saxon buildings at New Wintles Farm, about three-quarters of a mile (1 km) from the present parish church. Stunting is a type of publicity stunt in radio broadcasting, where a station—abruptly and often without advance announcement—begins to air content that is seemingly uncharacteristic compared to what is normally played. Stunting is typically used to generate publicity and audience attention for upcoming changes to a station's programming, such as new branding, format, or as a soft launch for a newly-established station.
