Jaan (film)
''Jaan'' is a 1996 Hindi-language action drama film directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by Ashok Ghai. The film stars Ajay Devgn, with Twinkle Khanna, Amrish Puri, Shakti Kapoor and Suresh Oberoi. It was theatrically released in United States on 31 March 1996 and India as well as other countries on 17 May 1996. The film's soundtrack was composed by Anand–Milind. Upon release, it was commercially successful, grossing worldwide. The film was declared a "super hit" at the box office. Raj Kanwar
Raj Kanwar (28 June 1961 – 3 February 2012) was an Indian film director, writer and film producer of Hindi films based in Mumbai, India. Family and personal life He was educated in Col. Brown Cambridge School in Dehradun. He has two sons (with his wife Anita Kanwar), Karan Raj Kanwar and Abhay Kanwar, both of whom have worked as film directors and producers. Filmmaker K. Pappu is his elder brother. On 3 February 2012, he died due to a kidney ailment in Singapore. Career Kanwar began his career directing plays in Delhi. Ajay Devgan
Vishal Veeru Devgan (born 2 April 1969), known professionally as Ajay Devgn, is an Indian actor, film director and producer who works in Hindi cinema. Anand Bakshi (21 July 1930 – 30 March 2002) was an Indian poet and lyricist. He was nominated for the Filmfare award for Best lyricist a total of 40 times, resulting in 4 wins. Early life Anand Bakshi (Bakshi Anand Prakash Vaid) was born in Rawalpindi in the Punjab Province of British India (now in Punjab, Pakistan), on 21 July 1930 into a Mohyal Brahmin family of the Vaid clan. The family arrived in Delhi, via a Dakota aircraft after the Partition of India and then migrated to Pune, then Meerut and settled again finally in Delhi. Bakshi was fond of writing poetry since his youth, but he did this mostly as a private hobby. In a 1983 interview with Doordarshan, Bakshi recounted that after his initial studies, he joined the Indian Navy, where due to a paucity of time, he could only write occasionally. Bindu Nanubhai Desai (born 17 April 1941), better known mononymously as Bindu, is a former Indian actress who was popular in the 1970s. She has acted in over 160 movies in a career that spanned four decades, receiving seven Filmfare award nominations. She is most remembered for her role as Shabnam in ''Kati Patang'' (1970) and for her films opposite Prem Chopra. Bindu made her film debut in 1962, starring in her first movie Anpadh as Kiran.
