Republic Of Estonia
Estonia, officially the Republic of Estonia, is a country in Northern Europe. Evald Hermaküla
Evald Hermaküla (6 December 1941 – 16 May 2000) was an Estonian actor and director. Hermaküla was born in the village of Maardu in Jõelähtme Parish. In 1965 he graduated from the University of Tartu in geology. In 1965 he also finished his studies at Vanemuine Theatre Studio in Tartu. From 1962 he was an actor and from 1969 a stage director in Vanemuine theatre. He also directed and appeared as an actor films and television. Hermaküla committed suicide by hanging on 16 May 2000 in Kadriorg Park in Tallinn, aged 58. He was buried in Tallinn's Forest Cemetery. At the time of his death, he was married to the actress Kaie Mihkelson. In 1961 he graduated from Tallinn State Conservatory's Performing Arts Department. Jüri Järvet
Jüri Järvet (18 June 19195 July 1995), born Georgi Kuznetsov, was a Soviet Estonian actor. Biography Jüri Järvet's birthname was Georgi Yevgenyevich Kuznetsov, and he took the Estonian form in 1938. Järvet's mother was a Russian, while his father is believed to have been an Germans in France, ethnic German who had immigrated from Lorraine. Järvet is best known in the West for the role of Dr. Snaut in Andrei Tarkovsky's ''Solaris (1972 film), Solaris'', but he played in numerous other films both in Russian and in his native Estonian. He was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1975, and the USSR State Prize in 1981. Järvet played the title role in ''King Lear (1971 USSR film), King Lear'' (1971) filmed on bleak landscapes in his native Estonia by Russian director Grigori Kozintsev and released in 1970. Mati Klooren (31 July 1938 – 16 July 2000) was an Estonian actor and theatre director. Mati Klooren was born in Tallinn. His younger brother was actor Enn Klooren. In 1961, he graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Tallinn State Conservatory's Performing Arts Department. Since 1961, he was an actor at the Estonian Drama Theatre. Rudolf Allabert (3 September 1939 Gatchina, Leningrad Oblast – 10 March 2011 Tallinn) was an Estonian actor, director and theatrical pedagogue. Until 1961 he worked at Rakvere Theatre. In 1965 he graduated from Tallinn State Conservatory. Allabert was a founding member of the Estonian State Youth Theatre. In 2006 he was awarded with Order of the White Star, IV class. Heino Mandri
Heino Mandri (11 September 1922 – 3 December 1990) was an Estonian film and stage actor. Biography Heino Mandri was born in Kohtla-Järve, but his family moved to Tallinn when Mandri was two years old. In 1946, Mandri graduated in the only class of the short-lived Tallinn Theatre School (1942–1946) set up during the German occupation to carry on the work of the former State School of Performing Arts which had been liquidated during the Soviet occupation in 1940. In 1948, Mandri was accused in anti-Soviet activities and sentenced for seven years of forced labor. From 1948 to 1954 he served the sentence in the Viatlag prison camp, Lesnoy, Kirov Oblast in Northern Russia. Mandri was released in 1954 and returned to Estonia, where the Soviet authorities forbade him to get closer than 101 km to Tallinn under the 101st kilometre rule. Raivo Trass (12 March 1946 – 7 June 2022) was an Estonian actor, director and theatrical pedagogue. Career Trass graduated from the Tallinn State Conservatory's Performing Arts Department in 1968. From 1968 until 1977, he was an actor at Estonian Drama Theatre. From 1977 until 1985, he was the chief stage manager of the Rakvere Theatre. From 1981 until 1985, he was the head of Rakvere Theatre. From 1985 until 1992, he was a director at Estonian Drama Theatre. From 1997 until 2004, he was the chief stage manager of Endla Theatre. Kärt Tomingas
Kärt Tomingas (5 April 1967 – 31 January 2025) was an Estonian stage, television, voice and film actress, singer, lecturer and acting and theatre pedagogue. Tomingas' career began in the 1980s as a folk-pop, rock and jazz singer and soon after began a career as an actress. Since 2008, she had been an acting lecturer and has taught acting.
