Jürgen Melzer
Jürgen Melzer (born 22 May 1981) is an Austrian tennis coach and former professional tennis player. Melzer reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 8 in April 2011, and a doubles ranking of world No. 6 in September 2010. He has a younger brother, Gerald Melzer, with whom he played doubles in several tournaments. In 1999 Wimbledon Championships – Boys' singles, 1999, Melzer won the boys' singles title at Wimbledon Championships, Wimbledon. For many years, he was known as one of the best players on the tour not to have progressed past the third round of a Grand Slam (tennis)#Tournaments, major. He ended this by reaching the semifinals of the 2010 French Open – Men's singles, 2010 French Open, losing to Rafael Nadal after coming from two sets down to defeat Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals. Deutsch-Wagram (literally "German Wagram", ), often shortened to Wagram, is a village in the Gänserndorf District, in the state of Lower Austria, Austria. Philipp Petzschner (born 24 March 1984) is a retired German professional tennis player. He was known for his hard-hitting forehand and backhand slices. The Grand Slam in tennis is the achievement of winning all four major championships in one discipline in a calendar year. Gerald Melzer
Gerald Melzer (born 13 July 1990) is an Austrian professional inactive tennis player who competed mainly on the ATP Challenger Tour. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 68 in November 2016. Gerald is also part of Austrian Davis Cup team, for which he recorded four singles wins and six losses. Career Gerald Melzer has primarily spent his time on the Futures circuit, while also playing Challengers and several doubles events with his brother. He began playing on the tour in 2007, competing in tournaments in Austria as well as Futures tournaments in Africa. In 2008, he has had more success playing doubles, partnering with his brother to win a challenger in Graz, Austria. In 2015, as a qualifier, Gerald reached the semifinals of Munich.
