Jørgen Emborg
Jørgen Emborg (born 29 March 1953) is a Danish jazz pianist and composer, influenced by Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock and Keith Jarrett, who has given the music a lyrical, specifically Nordic feel in his compositions. Life and work Emborg, who played at international festivals since 1975, released his first album, ''Sargasso'', in 1979 on the Kong Pære label. In the following years he belonged to Six Winds (with Marilyn Mazur, Uffe Markussen and Alex Riel) and formed with Palle Mikkelborg, Bjarne Roupé, Bo Stief and Ole Theill the ensemble Alpha Centauri. In 1985 he received the Ben Webster Prize; the following year he recorded with Bjarne Rostvold. He worked in 1991 with Thomas Hass (''Notes in Time''), 1994 with Tomas Franck (''Crystal Ball''). Jørgen Jalland (born 9 September 1977) is a Norwegian former footballer. Career Club In August 2003, Jalland joined Vålerenga from Sandefjord. Jørgen Jahre
Jørgen Jahre (29 October 1907 – 24 April 1998) was a Norwegian shipowner and sports official. Jørgen Jahre was born in Tjølling, in Vestfold county, Norway. He was a nephew of Norwegian shipping magnate Anders Jahre. He was secretary of the Norwegian shipping company A/S Kosmos in Sandefjord until in 1939. In 1948 he went from being a manager in Sandar Fabrikker A/S to becoming a partner in Anders Jahre's company. He has been the president of the Norwegian Shipowners' Association. He was the president of the Football Association of Norway from 1963 to 1965, and chairman of the Norwegian Olympic Committee from 1965 to 1969. Vice chairman during this period was Arne B. Mollén, who also became Jahre's successor. Jørgen Ingmann (born Jørgen Ingmann Pedersen; 26 April 1925 – 21 March 2015) was a Danish jazz and pop guitarist from Copenhagen. He was popular in Europe and had a wider international hit in 1961 with his version of "Apache". He and his wife Grethe Ingmann won the 1963 Eurovision Song Contest with the song " Dansevise". Career Jørgen Ingmann Pedersen was born in Copenhagen, and first performed as a guitarist with Svend Asmussen, the jazz violinist, during the 1940s and early 1950s, in a group known as the Unmelancholy Danes.Biography

Jørgen Von Cappelen Knudtzon
Jørgen von Cappelen Knudtzon (28 April 178429 July 1854) was a Norway, Norwegian businessman and patron of the arts. Born in Trondheim to a prosperous mercantile family of German extraction, he travelled to Hamburg, Germany to study commerce. Upon his father's death, he inherited the family business, though his brother-in-law Lorentz Johannsen became its director. With the family firm's trade ships Knudtzon often travelled to foreign destinations in Southeast Asia. At one occasion the ship wrecked; in the subsequent tumult he made friends with the Scot Alexander Baillie, with whom he would later travel around Europe. His profound interest in art was expressed in his numerous donations to artists and his own art collection, which included both antiquities and contemporary artworks. The Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen made sculptures of Knudtzon and Baillie; as an expression of gratitude, Knudtzon advocated the creation of a museum dedicated to Thorvaldsen in Copenhagen.
