Jõgevatreff
''Jõgevatreff'' is an annual international meeting of motorcyclists in the settlement of Kuremaa in Jõgeva county; also the largest gathering of bikers in Estonia. The event is organized by the NGO Jõgeva MC. History The first event took place in 1992 by the lake Peipus, it was organized for the first time by a legendary local motorcycle enthusiast Igor Ellisson (''10. VI 1954 – 11. VII 2021''), Jõgeva county citizen of the year 2012, In 2009, he was awarded the Silver Cross of Jõgeva County () and in 2011 the Order of the White Star. Organization The event traditionally takes place on the last weekend of July and lasts for several days. The first participants arrive already on Thursday. Tickets are sold both in advance and on the spot. The territory is fenced with a mesh fence and secured throughout the event. Kuremaa
Kuremaa () is a small borough (') in Jõgeva Parish, Jõgeva County in eastern Estonia. It lies 10 km from Jõgeva, near the northern shore of Lake Kuremaa, the 11th largest lake in Estonia. Kuremaa features an estate that was owned by the von Oettingen family until the early 20th century. Part of the estate's manor house is now a museum, its windmill in neighbouring Mooritsa village is a popular landmark, and its terraced gardens reach down to the shore of Lake Kuremaa. History The first known mention of Kuremaa is in historical records dated 1582, where it is referred to as ''Korymek''. Other names used in historical texts include ''Kurremois'', ''Jensel'', and ''Jenselhof''. Kanal 2
Kanal 2 is a privately owned Estonian television channel. Its literal name in English is "Channel 2". History The channel was established by Ilmar Taska. The channel started broadcasting on 1 October 1993, the first program seen on the new network being the Estonian animated film Kapsapea (Cabbage Head). The channel in its initial phase broadcast on weekends, beginning 17 December that year, week-round broadcasts started. On 1 August 2017, Kanal 2 left the free-to-air market and became encrypted.
