Jutta Haug
Jutta Dorothea Haug (born 8 October 1951 in Castrop-Rauxel) is a German politician who served as a Member of the European Parliament from 1994 until 2014. She is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, part of the Socialist Group. During her time in parliament, Haug sat on the European Parliament's Committee on Budgets. She was also a substitute for the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, substitute for the Delegation to the EU-Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee. The election of Members of the European Parliament, MEPs representing Germany (European Parliament constituency), Germany constituency for the 2004–2009 term of the European Parliament was held on 13 June 2004. The elections saw a heavy defeat for the ruling Social Democratic Party (Germany), Social Democratic Party, which polled its lowest share of the vote since World War II. Herten (; Westphalian: ''Hiätten'') is a town and a municipality in the district of Recklinghausen, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated in the industrial Ruhr Area, some west of Recklinghausen.
