Juodkiškiai Reservoir
The Juodkiškiai Reservoir is an artificial lake in Kėdainiai District Municipality, central Lithuania. It is located east from Kėdainiai, next to Taučiūnai village. It was created in 1980, when a dam on the Obelis river was built next to Juodkiškiai hamlet. In 1995, the dam was reconstructed and a small hydroelectric plant (of 510 kW) built. Aristava
Aristava (formerly ''Lukšiakaimis'', , ) is a village in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the village had a population of 489 people. It is located from Kėdainiai, next to the Bubliai Reservoir on the Obelis river, by the Malčius and the Malčius 2nd rivulets. There is a big road junction: the A8 highway, the road to Cinkiškiai via Kėdainiai (KK229), the road to Ukmergė (KK145). The village has a library, a former school, and a stock farm. History The Aristava manor of duke Algimantas has been known since 1371 when it was mentioned by Hermann von Wartberge. The former manor had been located in Aristavėlė but the last palace building was transferred to the Museum of Lithuanian Folk Life. Taučiūnai
Taučiūnai (formerly , ) is a village in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the village had a population of 60 people. It is located from Aristava, close to the A8 highway, on the shore of the Juodkiškiai Reservoir. There is a monument for the first Lithuanian volunteer soldier Povilas Lukšys, who died near Taučiūnai in 1919. History Taučiūnai has been known since 1375. Kėdainiai District Municipality
Kėdainiai () is one of the oldest List of cities in Lithuania, cities in Lithuania. It is located north of Lithuania's second largest city Kaunas on the banks of the Nevėžis River. Kėdainiai were first mentioned in the 1372 Livonian Chronicle of Hermann de Wartberge, its population was 23,051. The Kėdainiai Old Town dates to the 17th century and many of its historical buildings were preserved. The town is the administrative centre of the Kėdainiai District Municipality. The geographical centre of the Lithuania is in the nearby village of Ruoščiai in the Elderships of Lithuania, eldership of Dotnuva. Obelis
The Obelis is a river in the Ukmergė district municipality and Kėdainiai district municipality in central Lithuania. It flows for and has a basin area of . It is a left tributary of the Nevėžis into which it flows near Kėdainiai. The river valley is 200–220 m wide and 8–14 m high. The width of the river course is 5–12 m. Malčius
The Malčius is a river of Kėdainiai district municipality, Kaunas County, central Lithuania. It flows for and has a basin area of . It starts in the Lančiūnava-Šventybrastis Forest and flows mostly southwards. It meets the Obelis river (from the right side) by Aristavėlė village. The entire course is channelized. Juodkiškiai (formerly , ) is a hamlet in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the hamlet was uninhabited. Bubliai Reservoir
The Bubliai Reservoir is an artificial lake in Kėdainiai District Municipality, central Lithuania. It is located east from Kėdainiai, next to Aristava village. It was created in 1980, when a dam on the Obelis river had been built next to Bubliai village. In 2002, the dam was reconstructed and a small hydroelectric plant (of 160 kW) added. The Bubliai Reservoir is used for irrigation, fishery, and hydroelectric energy production. The fish species inhabiting the reservoir are carp, pike, catfish, roach, and bream. Shores of the reservoir are quite straight and low. The reservoir is surrounded mostly by agriculture lands. Some other smaller ponds and reservoirs (the Kapliai Reservoir, the Piltyna Reservoir, the Aristava Reservoir) empty into the Bubliai Reservoir. The Bubliai Reservoir itself empties into the Juodkiškiai Reservoir. The dam uses Spillway#Siphon spillway, siphon spillway. References

A8 Highway (Lithuania)
The A8 highway is a highway in Lithuania (Magistraliniai keliai). It runs from Panevėžys, through Kėdainiai bypass to the interchange with A1 highway (Lithuania), A1 highway near Sitkūnai. From there, the road continues to Kaunas, Vilnius, Klaipėda or Warsaw. The length of the road is 87.86 km. The speed limit along most of the road length is 90 km/h. It is one of the most important transit roads in the Baltic States (part of Via Baltica corridor). This route is part of International E-road network (part of European route E67).
