Julián Simón Sesmero (born 3 April 1987) is a Spanish motorcycle racer. He is best known for winning the 2009 125cc World Championship. Career 125cc World Championship Born in Villacañas, Toledo, Spain, Simón began his racing career racing for Honda in the 2002 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season at the Spanish Grand Prix. In 2003 he raced for Malaguti before switching to Aprilia in 2004 and KTM in 2005. The 2010 Aragon motorcycle Grand Prix was the thirteenth round of the 2010 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on the weekend of 17–19 September 2010 at the MotorLand Aragón circuit. The Spanish motorcycle Grand Prix is a motorcycling event that is part of the FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing season that takes place at Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto outside Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia. Bradley William Smith (born 28 November 1990) is a British motorcycle racer acting as a test-rider for the official BMW Motorrad WorldSBK factory team in World Superbikes. Smith was linked to RNF E-Racing in MotoE for 2022. He was injured shortly after a Le Mans start at an FIM Endurance World Championship event in April 2022 when opening for team Moto Ain Yamaha. Jorge Martínez Salvadores (born 29 August 1962), nicknamed "Aspar", is a Spanish former professional motorcycle racer and racing team manager. He competed in the Grand Prix road racing world championships from 1982 to 1997. Martínez is one of the most successful motorcycle racers in Grand Prix motorcycle racing history with 22 Grand Prix victories to his name in the 80 cc class and a further 15 wins in the 125 cc class. After retiring from active competition, Martínez became a successful motorcycle racing team owner. In 2019, Martínez was inducted into the MotoGP Hall of Fame. The 2007 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 59th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Season summary The 2007 season was significant as it introduced a new regulation which specifies that competitors in the MotoGP class were allowed use up to 800cc motorcycles; between 2002 and 2006, competitors had been allowed to use 990 cc motorcycles. While the 800cc motorcycles had less power than their 990cc counterparts, their ability to brake later and carry more speed through turns due to their lighter weight (which actually increased their power to weight ratio) allowed them to break lap records in pre-season testing. The British motorcycle Grand Prix is a motorcycling event that is part of the FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. History Before 1977, the only British round was the Isle of Man TT, which was part of the FIM championship from its inauguration in 1949 until 1976. The Isle of Man TT was the most prestigious event on the Grand Prix motorcycling calendar from 1949 to 1972. After the 1972 event, multiple world champion Giacomo Agostini dropped a bombshell on the motorsports world by stating he would never race at the Isle of Man TT again, saying the 37-mile (62 km) circuit was too dangerous for international competition.
