Juanan Ramírez
Juan Antonio González Fernández (born 27 April 1987), commonly known as Juanan, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Club career Born in Palma de Mallorca, Juanan played youth football for three clubs, including local RCD Mallorca from ages 17 to 18. He signed with Deportivo de La Coruña in the summer of 2007, but appeared almost exclusively with the B team over the course of two Segunda División B seasons, being relegated in the second. With the main squad, he featured 21 minutes in a UEFA Cup match against AaB Fodbold, coming on as a substitute for Filipe Luís in an eventual 1–3 home loss in the round of 32 on 26 February 2009. Segunda División B (English: second division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time.
