Juan Sabines Gutiérrez
Juan Sabines Gutiérrez (27 June 1920 – 2 March 1987) was a Mexican politician affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He served in both chambers of Congress and was governor of Chiapas from 1979 to 1982. Careeer Juan Sabines Gutiérrez was born in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, in 1920. He served as that city's mayor in 1951–52. He was elected to the Chamber of Deputies on three occasions: in 1952, for Chiapas's third district; in 1958, for Chiapas's first district; and in 1979, for Chiapas's eighth district. In the 1970 general election, he was elected to the Senate for his home state. He resigned his 1979 seat in Congress when he was appointed interim governor of Chiapas on 29 November 1979, replacing Salomón González Blanco. He remained in the position until 30 November 1982. Institutional Revolutionary Party
The Institutional Revolutionary Party (, , PRI) is a List of political parties in Mexico, political party in Mexico that was founded in 1929 as the National Revolutionary Party (, PNR), then as the Party of the Mexican Revolution (, PRM) and finally as the PRI beginning in 1946. The party held uninterrupted power in the country and controlled the President of Mexico, presidency twice: the first one was for 71 years, from 1929 to 2000, the second was for six years, from 2012 to 2018. The PNR was founded in 1929 by Plutarco Elías Calles, Mexico's paramount leader at the time and self-proclaimed (Supreme Chief) of the Mexican Revolution. The 8th federal electoral district of Chiapas () is one of the Federal electoral districts of Mexico, 300 electoral districts into which Mexico is divided for elections to the federal Chamber of Deputies (Mexico), Chamber of Deputies and one of 13 such districts in the States of Mexico, state of Chiapas. It elects one deputy (legislator), deputy to the lower house of Congress of Mexico, Congress for each three-year legislative session by means of the Plurality voting system, first-past-the-post system. Juan Sabines Guerrero
Juan José Sabines Guerrero (born August 20, 1968) is a Mexican politician, son of the former Governor of Chiapas, Juan Sabines Gutiérrez and nephew of the writer Jaime Sabines. Until, 2006 he was member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) that carried him to be Municipal President of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, but renounced his membership to the PRI after the party denied him the chance to be a candidate for governor and asked him to finish his term as municipal president. He then became a candidate of the Coalition for the Good of All, composed by the parties PRD, PT and Convergence. He was consul of Mexico in Orlando from June 2015 to November 2018, December 2019 to november 2024 and December 2024 to actuality. Jaime Sabines
Jaime Sabines Gutiérrez (March 25, 1926 – March 19, 1999) was a Mexican contemporary poet. Known as “the sniper of Literature” as he formed part of a group that transformed literature into reality, he wrote ten volumes of poetry, and his work has been translated into more than twelve languages. His writings chronicle the experience of everyday people in places such as the street, hospital, and playground. Sabines was also a politician. Salomón González Blanco
Salomón González Blanco (22 April 1900 – 17 March 1992) was a Mexican lawyer and politician affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He served 12 years as Secretary of Labour and Social Welfare, in addition to terms in the Senate, as a Supreme Court justice and as governor of Chiapas. Career Salomón González Blanco was born in Catazajá, Chiapas, in 1900. He graduated from the law school of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 1927. In 1934 he served four months in the Senate as an alternate senator for Tabasco.
