Juan Cortés (footballer)
Juan Cortés Contreras (18 June 1938 – 28 June 1998) was a Chilean footballer who played as an attacking midfielder for clubs in Chile and abroad. Career Born in Santiago, Chile, Cortés began his professional career with Magallanes in September 1956. In the late 1950s, he and his fellows Héctor Torres and Ricardo Cabrera made up a well remembered attacking trident. Next, he spent two seasons with Palestino (1961–62), playing as a centre forward, and made appearances for Universidad de Chile in international friendlies. He switched to Rangers de Talca in 1963, staying with them until 1968. A historical player of Rangers during a successful stint, the club reached the fourth, the fifth and the third place of the league in 1963, 1964 and 1965, respectively. Abel Alonso
Abel Alonso Sopelana (1 January 1935 – 1 September 2024) was a Spanish-Chilean businessman, shoemaker and leader of the Chilean football who served as president of the Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (ANFP) and Unión Española. He was born in Spain, but he was exiled with his family from Francisco Franco’s dictatorship. Alonso twice reached the presidency of the ANFP. Hugo Tassara
Hugo Tassara Olivares (14 February 1924 – 12 February 2016) was a Chilean football manager. Career Born in Iquique, Chile, Tassara had a short career as a football goalkeeper, playing for the teams of Tocopilla, María Elena and Copiapó. At professional level, he was a substitute of Mario Ibáñez for three years in Universidad de Chile. Next, he worked in the youth system of the club and also in the Colo-Colo youth system in 1955.
