Juan Carlos Pérez Góngora
Juan Carlos Pérez Góngora (born 27 August 1960) is a Mexican lawyer and politician who served in the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico, lower house of Congress of Mexico, Congress from 2003 to 2006. Pérez Góngora received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the Universidad Regiomontana (UR) and a master's degree in Tax law, taxes from the Instituto de Especialización para Ejecutivos, AC (IEE). He also has pursued doctorate studies at the Universidad Regiomontana. He served as president of the Chamber of Commerce of Monterrey (Cámara de Comercio de Monterrey or CANACO) from 1993 to 1999. In the 2003 Mexican legislative election, 2003 mid-terms he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies (Mexico), Chamber of Deputies to represent Nuevo León's 1st federal electoral district of Nuevo León, 1st district. Pérez Góngora was the PRI candidate for the 2009 San Pedro Garza García municipal presidency election. References

The Chamber of Deputies ( Spanish: , ) is the lower house of the Congress of the Union, the bicameral parliament of Mexico. The other chamber is the Senate. The structure and responsibilities of both chambers of Congress are defined in Articles 50 to 70 of the Constitution. History A bicameral legislature, including the Chamber of Deputies, was established on 4 October 1824. A unicameral congress existed from 7 September 1857 to 13 November 1874. Elections and qualifications Qualifications Article 55 of the Mexican Constitution establishes the requirements to serve as a deputy.
