Juan Carlos Amorós
Juan Carlos Amorós López (born 3 June 1984) is a Spanish Manager (association football), football manager who is currently the head coach of Gotham FC of the American National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). He previously managed NWSL club Houston Dash, Spanish club Real Betis Féminas, Real Betis, and English club Tottenham Hotspur F.C. Women, Tottenham Hotspur. Managerial career Tottenham Hotspur Amorós began his coaching career at Tottenham Hotspur F.C. Women in 2011, as co-manager with Karen Hills (footballer), Karen Hills. Following the club's promotion to the top-flight Women's Super League after the 2018–19 FA WSL, 2018–19 season, Hills and Amorós signed two-year deals to continue in their roles. The CONCACAF W Champions Cup is an annual continental women's football club competition organized by CONCACAF that determines the club champion for the region encompassing North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The National Women's Soccer League playoffs (or NWSL playoffs) are a single-elimination tournament among eight teams in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) of the United States. The final round of the playoffs is the NWSL Championship. Since playoff games cannot end in draws, they are broken by two consecutive 15-minute extra time periods, followed by penalty shoot-outs of best-of-five rounds with additional rounds as required. Format Since the 2024 season, the top eight teams in the final standings at the end of the regular season qualify for the playoffs and are seeded in order of their record. A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Origin The term first appeared in 1858 in cricket, to describe H. H. Stephenson taking three Wicket#Dismissing a batsman, wickets with three consecutive delivery (cricket), deliveries.
