Jože Šlibar
Jože Šlibar (born 18 March 1934) is a Yugoslav former ski jumper. Career On 24 February 1961, he set the ski jumping world record at 141 metres (463 ft) in Oberstdorf, West Germany, which he held and shared for the next three years together with Peter Lesser and Kjell Sjöberg. It was Yugoslav record until 1969. His best performance at Four Hills Tournament in 1959/60 was 14th place overall. In 1962 he performed at World Championships in Zakopane where he took 31st place at normal and 47th place at large hill. 1959–60 Four Hills Tournament
The eighth annual Four Hills Tournament in Germany and Austria was influenced by the Flag of Germany#Divided Germany (1949-1989), German flag controversy, which led to the teams of the Warsaw pact, Warsaw pact zone withdrawing from the tournament. In addition, Finland and Norway decided not to compete due to preparations for the upcoming 1960 Winter Olympics. Finland ultimately sent prospective athletes. The tournament was instead dominated by the host country and for the first time, the Four Hills were won by a West German ski jumper, Max Bolkart. German Flag Controversy For ten years after its declared independence, the German Democratic Republic continued to use the Flag of Germany, German tricolour for official use. Heini-Klopfer-Skiflugschanze (''Heini Klopfer Ski Flying Hill'') is a ski flying hill in Oberstdorf, Germany. It was opened in 1950, and was later renamed after its architect, Heini Klopfer. A total of 21 world records have been set on the hill. The venue should not be confused with the Schattenberg ski jumping hill, also in Oberstdorf, about to the north.
