Joško Marušić
Joško Marušić, born in Split on March 27, 1952, is a Croatian author of animated films, caricaturist, illustrator and university professor. Biography Joško Marušić was born in Split in 1952, where he graduated from the classical high school, and after that, from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb in 1975. An architect by education, he is engaged in caricature, comics, illustrations, literature, film production, theory of animation, and was even a famous TV personality with his own TV show, but his true love and the focus of his work is art animation. He is considered one of the most important authors of the Zagreb School of Animated Films. The Eurovision Song Contest 1990 was the 35th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, held on 5 May 1990 in the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia. Giannalberto Bendazzi (17 July 1946 – 13 December 2021) was an Italian animation historian, author, and professor. Life and career Born in Ravenna, Italy, and raised in Milan, Bendazzi started his career as a journalist and at the same time a self-funded scholar. He turned to full-time academic teaching by 2002. Bendazzi has lectured on several continents, and particularly in Italy. In 2002 he first received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Animation Theory from the Animafest Zagreb. In 2016 Asifa (Association internationale du Film d'animation) granted him the Life Achievement Award. In 2019, he received an Honorary Doctorate from Universidade Lusófona. The Academy of Fine Arts Zagreb ( or ALU) is a Croatian art school based in Zagreb. It is one of the three art academies affiliated with the University of Zagreb, along with the Academy of Dramatic Art (ADU) and the Academy of Music (MUZA). The Academy was established in June 1907 as the ''Royal College for Arts and Crafts'' () and initially had three departments, for sculpting, painting and art education.
