João Paulo Bravo
João Paulo Pereira Bravo (born January 7, 1979) is a Brazilian professional volleyball coach and former player. He is currently an assistant coach for the Canadian men's national team and the Turkish club Arkas Spor. Career Bravo began his volleyball career in Brazil, where he won an award in 2000 as the most promising young player in the country. In 2002, Bravo transferred to the Belgian team Noliko Maaseik, where he not only was chosen the most valuable player in the country, but also experienced league and cup championships. He transferred to the Italian team Piacenza in 2005, and played in the Italian 1st league for five seasons, including one year for Vibo Valentia. With Piacenza, Bravo experienced championships in the Italian league, Italian Cup and the Europe Top Teams Cup. In 2008, he was chosen the best server in the European Champions League. Presidente Prudente is a Municipalities of Brazil, Brazilian municipality located in the Interior of São Paulo, interior of São Paulo (state), São Paulo, approximately 558 kilometers from the state capital, São Paulo. FIVB Volleyball World League
The FIVB Volleyball World League was an annual international men's volleyball competition. Created in 1990, it was the longest and richest of all the international events organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). The women's version of the competition was called FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix. This event should not be confused with the other international volleyball competitions, the World Championship, the World Cup and the World Grand Champions Cup. From 2018, the World League and World Grand Prix was replaced by the men's and women's Nations League and men's and women's Challenger Cup. Brazil Men's National Volleyball Team
The Brazil men's national volleyball team is governed by the Confederação Brasileira de Voleibol ''( Brazilian Volleyball Confederation)'' and takes part in international volleyball competitions. Brazil has won three gold medals at the Olympic Games, has won the World Championship three times, and the World League nine times. With a tally total of 68 titles Brazil is the national volleyball team that has won the most titles in the main FIVB sanctioned competitions, and also the national team that has won the most international titles outside their regional competition. The team is sometimes referred to as volleyball's "Dream Team" specially in reference to its winning streak period under coach Bernardo Rezende. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. Men's South American Volleyball Championship
The Men's South American Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of South America, organized by the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol ( CSV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1967 they have been awarded every two years. The competition has been dominated by Brazil, which won 33 of the 35 editions. The first tournament not won by Brazil was the 1964 championship, when the team did not compete due to political turmoil in the country, and the tournament was won by Argentina. Recently, in the 2023 edition, Argentina won their second title, ending Brazil's dominance since 1967.
