João Diogo Fonseca Ferreira (born 22 March 2001) is a Portuguese professional Association football, footballer who plays as a right-back or centre-back for Primeira Liga club SC Braga, on loan from EFL Championship club Watford F.C., Watford. Football career Born in Póvoa de Varzim, Ferreira made his professional debut with S.L. Benfica B, Benfica B in a 2–1 win over G.D. Estoril Praia, Estoril Praia in LigaPro on 11 August 2019. Póvoa de Varzim () is a Portugal, Portuguese city in Norte Region, Portugal, Northern Portugal and sub-region of Greater Porto, from its city centre. It sits in a sandy coastal plain, a cuspate foreland, halfway between the Minho River, Minho and Douro rivers. In 2001, there were 63,470 inhabitants, with 42,396 living in the city proper. The 2019–20 LigaPro was the 30th season of Portuguese Association football, football's second-tier league, and the sixth season under the current LigaPro title. A total of 18 teams competed in this division, including reserve team, reserve sides from top-flight Primeira Liga teams.
