Jovan Dejanović ( sr-cyr, Јован Дејановић, 15 June 1927 – 1 June 2019) was a Serbian politician and former Mayor of the city of Novi Sad in two terms. Velebit () is a village in Serbia. It is situated in the Kanjiža municipality, in the North Banat District, Vojvodina province. The village has a Serb ethnic majority with a population numbering 366 people (2002 census). Liberty Bridge, Novi Sad
Liberty Bridge () is a cable-stayed bridge on the Danube river in Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia. The bridge was opened for traffic on 23 October 1981. During that time, the bridge was the world record holder in the category of bridges with cable-stayed design. It was destroyed during NATO bombardment on 3 April 1999. The Serbian National Theatre ( sr-Cyrl-Latn, Српско народно позориште, Srpsko narodno pozorište), located in Novi Sad, is one of the major theatres of Serbia. History The Serbian National Theatre was founded in 1861 during a conference of the Serbian National Theatre Society, composed of members of the Serbian Reading Room (''Srpska čitaonica''), held in Novi Sad. SPC Vojvodina ( sr-cyr, СПЦ Војводина), short for Sports and Business Center Vojvodina (), commonly referred to as SPENS ( sr-cyr, СПЕНС), is a multi-purpose venue located in Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia. History Its construction started in 1979, based on the design documentation produced by the Institute of Architecture, Urbanism and Spatial Planning, at the University of Sarajevo. The authors of the original, competition-winning design were Prof. Zivorad Jankovic, Prof. Branko Bulic and Eng. Dusko Bogunovic. The construction of the main and the small hall was completed in less than two years.
