José Victor Toledo
José Victor Toledo (August 14, 1931 – February 3, 1980) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Education and career Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Toledo did his secondary studies at Colegio San José, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida in 1952 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 1955. He was a district judge of the Puerto Rico District Court in 1956. He was a First Lieutenant in the United States Army from 1956 to 1960 as a member of the Judge Advocate General's Corps, United States Army stationed at Fort Brooke in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Puerto Rico from 1960 to 1961, entering private practice in San Juan from 1961 to 1970. United States District Court For The District Of Puerto Rico
The United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico (in case citations, D.P.R.; ) is the United States district court, federal district court whose jurisdiction comprises the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The court is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, San Juan. The main building is the Clemente Ruiz Nazario United States Courthouse located in the Hato Rey district of San Juan. Puerto Rico National Cemetery
Puerto Rico National Cemetery is a United States national cemetery located in the city of Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Bayamón, in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. It encompasses of land, and at the end of 2005, had 44,722 interments. Until 2021, it was the only United States National Cemetery in Puerto Rico. A second United States National Cemetery was built in Morovis, Puerto Rico because the cemetery in Bayamón has reached its capacity. History The land in which the cemetery is located was under the jurisdiction of the United States Navy since 1898, when Spain ceded Puerto Rico to the United States as a consequence of the treaties signed which officially ended the Puerto Rican Campaign, Spanish–American War.
