José Soto (footballer, Born 1970)
José Alberto "Pepe" Soto Gómez (born 11 January 1970) is a Peruvian association football, football Coach (sport), manager and former player. Nicknamed "Pepe," he played as a central defender and spent the majority of his playing career with Alianza Lima. He is the brother of footballers Jorge Soto (footballer), Jorge Soto and Giancarlo Soto. Club career Soto was born in Lima. He started his club career with Club Centro Deportivo Municipal, Deportivo Municipal in 1987. He also played for Sporting Cristal and Alianza Lima in Peru. Soto spent several seasons playing in Mexico, joining Puebla F.C., Puebla in the Invierno 1996 season and remaining with the club until 1998. José Ramón "Chemo" Soto Rivera (December 17, 1943 – December 27, 2021) was a Puerto Rican politician who was the mayor of Canóvanas from 1993 to 2014, Puerto Rico and a member of the New Progressive Party. Early years and work Soto was born in Loíza, Puerto Rico to Ramón Soto Segarra and Rosa Rivera Carrión. He was the sixth of eleven children born to the couple. Soto began his studies at the Cambalache elementary school, and then attended the Eugenio María de Hostos Junior High School and Andrés Flores López High School in Canóvanas, Puerto Rico. Soto served with the United States Army in the Vietnam War. After his military service, he became a police officer in the Puerto Rico Police Department. Soto also studied at Puerto Rico Junior College, completing a degree in Criminology. José Tous Soto (October 2, 1874 – March 22, 1933) was a Puerto Rican politician and former Senator and Representative. Early years and education José Tous Soto was born in San Lorenzo on October 2, 1874. He graduated with a Doctorate in Civil Law from the University of Oviedo in Spain.
