José Ramón Corchado
José Ramón Corchado Santiago (born 16 November 1957) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a right winger, and is a manager. He played 140 La Liga games for Salamanca and Zaragoza, scoring 25 goals, while achieving 87 appearances and 30 goals in Segunda División B for Salamanca and Hércules. A Copa del Rey winner with Zaragoza in 1986, he never managed higher than Segunda División B, but achieved a cup win for Toledo over Real Madrid in 2000. Playing career Born in Torrijos in the province of Toledo, Corchado moved from his hometown club CD Torrijos to Atlético Madrid as a teenager. Having been advised by manager Luis Aragonés that his first-team prospects were slim, he moved to fellow La Liga club UD Salamanca on loan in 1979, before joining permanently in exchange for Balbino García. Torrijos, Spain
Torrijos is a municipality in the province of Toledo, Castilla–La Mancha, Spain. As of 1 January 2022, it had a registered population of 13,678. The municipality spans across a total area of 17.34 km2. History A Christian army on its way to Toledo took control over the place on behalf of Alfonso VI in 1085, thereby becoming a ''realengo'' (' royal demesne'). Torrijos was gifted to the archbishop of Toledo in 1214, in reward for the latter's help in the Battle of Navas de Tolosa, ensuingly becoming a dominion of the Mitre of Toledo. Torrijos enjoyed a sizeable Jewish community, which sided with the losing side in the Castilian Civil War and which also suffered, although to a lesser extent than other locations, the 1391 pogroms. Manolo Villanova
Manuel José "Manolo" Villanova Rebollar (born 27 August 1942) is a Spanish football manager and former player who played as a goalkeeper. Playing career Born in Zaragoza, Aragon, Villanova's first professional club was Segunda División's RCD Mallorca, whom he joined in 1966. After a full season at the club he moved to La Liga with Real Betis, suffering relegation during his first campaign. Villanova continued to appear with the Andalusians in the following years, all in the second level. In 1972, he returned to the top tier, after agreeing to a deal with Real Zaragoza. A backup to Manolo Nieves, Villanova appeared sparingly for his hometown club, and retired in 1975 at the age of 32. Luis Aragonés Suárez (; 28 July 1938 – 1 February 2014) was a Spanish football player and manager. Aragonés spent the majority of his career as a player and coach at Atlético Madrid. He was a prominent player and then coach of the successful Atlético team of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The team were national champions four times, reached the 1974 European Cup Final. Between 1964 and 1974, he played 265 Primera Liga games for Atlético and scored 123 goals. He also played for several other clubs, including Real Madrid, and played 11 times for Spain, scoring three goals.
