José María García Lafuente (born 10 February 1971), commonly known as José Mari, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He scored eight La Liga goals in ten seasons, whilst appearing in 158 matches with Osasuna, Barcelona, Betis and Athletic Bilbao during that timeframe. José María Romero Poyón (born 10 December 1978), known as José Mari, is a Spanish former footballer who played as a forward. He amassed La Liga totals of 270 matches and 49 goals over eleven seasons, mainly with Atlético Madrid – for which he signed at the age of 18 from Sevilla, going on to score 34 times in 144 appearances – and Villarreal (four years apiece). José María Isaac Béjar (born 1 September 1985), commonly known as José Mari, is a Spanish footballer who plays as a left back. Football career Born in Mérida, Badajoz, Extremadura, José Mari made his senior debuts with CD Alhaurino in the 2004–05 campaign, in Tercera División. On 21 August 2005 he moved to Málaga CF, being immediately loaned to UD Melilla in Segunda División B. José María Bakero Escudero (born 11 February 1963) is a Spanish former professional footballer, currently a manager. Having played mainly for Real Sociedad and Barcelona, he began his career as a forward (not being a prolific scorer) but was converted into an attacking midfielder, possessing passing and scoring ability (with both his right foot and his head, the second despite his short stature) and great leadership skills.
