José Luis González (born 11 September 1997) is an Argentine rugby union player who plays for the in the Rugby Pro D2. His playing position is hooker. He joined the Mont-de-Marsan in January 2021, having previously played in his home land for in the 2019 Currie Cup First Division and Ceibos in the first Súper Liga Americana de Rugby season. He also represented Argentina XV ten times between 2017 and 2019. The 2019 Currie Cup First Division – known as the Currie Cup sponsored by DirectAxis Financial Services for sponsorship reasons – was the second tier of the Currie Cup, the premier domestic rugby union competition in South Africa. It was the 81st edition of the competition organised by the South African Rugby Union and was played between 6 July and 31 August 2019. 2020 Súper Liga Americana De Rugby Season
The 2020 Súper Liga Americana de Rugby season was the inaugural season of Súper Liga Americana de Rugby, an annual rugby union competition sanctioned by Sudamérica Rugby. The competition began on 4 March and was scheduled to end on 29 May. On 17 March 2020, the league was suspended until 2021, effectively ending this season after two rounds of play due to the COVID-19 pandemic in South America. The Pro D2 is the second tier of rugby union club competition division in France. It is operated by Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) which also runs the division directly above, the first division Top 14. Rugby Pro D2 was introduced in 2000. It is the world's best supported second tier rugby union league. Season structure There are 30 rounds in the regular season, with each team playing each other home and away. There is relegation and promotion between both the Top 14 and Nationale, the third-level competition. The top two clubs at the end of the season qualify automatically for home semi-finals, with the clubs placed 3rd through to 6th playing in an elimination round to advance to the semi-finals. In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15).
