José González (footballer, Born 1966)
José Manuel González López (; born 14 October 1966) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a forward, currently a manager. Playing career Born in Cádiz, Andalusia, he was known simply as José during his playing days. He finished his youth career with Cádiz CF, making his senior debut with the reserves in the Tercera División. On 9 September 1984 he played his first match as a professional, starting in a 2–0 home win over RC Celta de Vigo in the Segunda División. José was definitely promoted to the first team in summer 1986, and made his La Liga debut on 2 November of that year by coming on as a late substitute in a 1–0 away loss against RCD Español. He scored his first professional goal on 20 March 1988, his side's third in a 4–1 home rout of Real Betis. Manuel González (footballer, Born 1917)
José Manuel González López (10 October 1917 – 24 July 1988) was a Spanish professional Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football), defender. Career González started his career in Granada CF, Granada's squad in 1941. He made his professional debut on 28 September during a 1–1 draw at Los Cármenes with Celta de Vigo, Celta. That was the first of thirteen appearances in his opening campaign, prior to eighty-two across the following three; the last finishing with relegation to the Segunda División. In that time, González scored for the first time in a 5–2 win versus Celta in April 1944. He stayed with Granada for three seasons in Spanish football league system, tier two, before departing in 1948 to play for Segunda División team CD Málaga, Málaga. The 1991–92 La Liga season was the 61st since its establishment. It began on 31 August 1991, and concluded on 7 June 1992. After the penultimate game, Real Madrid led by 1 point and needed to win away to Tenerife, managed by their former player Jorge Valdano, to seal the title. Despite taking a 2-0 lead, Madrid lost 3-2. The peseta (, ) was the currency of Spain between 1868 and 2002. Along with the French franc, it was also a de facto currency, ''de facto'' currency used in Andorra (which had no national currency with legal tender). In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958.
