José Falcón is a district in Presidente Hayes Department of Paraguay, located 48 km North of Asuncion, which one can go from, through the Route 12 (via Héroes del Chaco Bridge). Geography Located in the Western region of Paraguay, in the area of Paraguayan Chaco. Its physical appearance is part of the characteristics of the Chaco soil: lowland with abundant vegetation of palm trees. It is a coastal city located at the junction between the Pilcomayo and Paraguay rivers. This district is located in a lowland area with clay soil. With no meaningful elevations. The geography in general at this part of the department is characterized by being swampy, with palm trees and grasses. Héroes Del Chaco Bridge
The Héroes del Chaco Bridge () is a cable-stayed bridge in Paraguay that connects the city of Asunción and Nueva Asunción. It crosses the Paraguay River in order to link the Paraguayan eastern and western regions. It was built to help decongest the Remanso Bridge, located eight km upstream. It will be the only large-span bridge in the capital, and the first to link it with the Chaco (Paraguay), Western Region. It was officially inaugurated by President Santiago Peña on March 3, 2024. Etymology Its name is a tribute to the combatants of the Chaco War and was selected through a citizen participation process. The San Ignacio de Loyola International Bridge (Spanish: ''Puente Internacional San Ignacio de Loyola'') is a road bridge that crosses the border between Argentina and Paraguay over the Pilcomayo River, from the Argentine city of Clorinda, Formosa, Clorinda, to José Falcón, Paraguay, José Falcón, near Asunción, Paraguay's capital. The bridge is 70 m long and 8 m wide, and marks the end of Argentine National Route 11 (Argentina), National Route 11, which goes 980 km from Rosario to Clorinda. It is named after Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus.
