José Castillo Rondón (; March 19, 1981 – December 6, 2018) was a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, San Francisco Giants, and Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Chiba Lotte Marines and Yokohama BayStars of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). He was killed in a car crash in 2018 in Venezuela, caused by bandits in an attempted robbery. José del Castillo Sáenz de Tejada (29 June 1901 – 12 July 1936) was a Spanish Police Cuerpo de Seguridad y Asalto, Guardia de Asalto (Assault Guard) lieutenant during the Second Spanish Republic. His murder by four Falange Española de las JONS, Falangist gunmen on 12 July 1936 led to a sequence of events that helped precipitate the Spanish Civil War.
