José Carruana
José Carruana Gálvez (1890 - Unknown) was a Spanish footballer who played as a defender for RCD Espanyol, Madrid FC and Sociedad Gimnástica. Club career Born in Madrid, Carruana began his career aged just 18, in 1908, at his hometown club Club Español de Madrid, playing a pivotal role in the club's first piece of silverware, the 1908–09 Centro Championship, and then helped Español reach the 1909 Copa del Rey Final, which they lost 1-3 to Club Ciclista. In 1909, He moved to Madrid FC, and played for them for one season. His great displays earned him a move to RS Gimnástica in 1910, featuring alongside the likes of José Manuel Kindelán and Sócrates Quintana. At Gimnástica, Carruana did not lose his way, as he once again played an important role in the first piece of silverware of a club, this time being the 1909–10 Centro Championship, winning it again in 1910–11. The Copa del Rey 1912 was the eleventh staging of the Copa del Rey, the Spanish football cup competition. The competition started on 31 March 1912, and concluded on 12 April 1912, with the final, held at the Industria Stadium in Barcelona, in which FC Barcelona lifted the trophy for the second time ever after a 2–0 victory over Sociedad Gimnástica thanks to goals from Alfredo Massana, Pepe Rodríguez. Six teams were planned to take place in the tournament, but Athletic de Bilbao and Academia de Infantería withdrew just before the start of the tournament. The 1909 Copa del Rey was the 7th staging of the Copa del Rey, the Spanish football cup competition. The competition started on 4 April 1909, and concluded on 8 April 1909, with the final, held at the O'Donnell, in Madrid, in which Club Ciclista de San Sebastián lifted the trophy for the first time ever with a 3–1 victory over Español Madrid. The Basque goalscorers were George McGuinness, Charles Simmons and Miguel Sena. Club Ciclista de San Sebastián are the predecessors of Real Sociedad. After winning the cup trophy, on 7 September 1909 the players of Club Ciclista founded a new in club in San Sebastián, called Vasconia, later changing the name to Real Sociedad. Prince Of Asturias Cup
The Prince of Asturias Cup (, ) was an inter-regional football competition contested by the regional selections of Spain – selections of players from clubs from the region in question, meaning that players did not need to be native to the region. The tournament was created in 1913 by the FECF (''Federación Española de Clubs de Football''), a forerunner of the RFEF, in honour of the donator of the trophy, don Alfonso, Prince of Asturias, the first-born son of King Alfonso XIII and Prince of Asturias.
