José Caeiro (politician)
José Valentín Caeiro Igós (14 February 1925 – 14 January 1981) was a Spanish retired Association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football), forward, and a former Manager (association football), manager. Playing career Caeiro was born in Hondarribia, Gipuzkoa, Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country. His first professional club was Segunda División's Racing de Ferrol, where he joined in 1945. In 1948 Caeiro moved to fellow league team Real Sociedad, and scored an impressive 26 goals in 38 matches during his 1948–49 Segunda División, first season, which ended in promotion to La Liga. In the 1950–51 La Liga, 1950–51 campaign he contributed with 17 goals in only 24 matches; this prompted a move to Valencia CF also in the top tier. After being rarely used by the Valencian Community, Valencians, Caeiro signed for neighbouring Hércules CF in 1953. Hondarribia
Hondarribia (; ; ) is a Spanish town situated on the west shore of the Bidasoa river's estuary, in Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Autonomous Community. The border town is situated on a little promontory facing Hendaye (France) over the Txingudi bay. A service boat makes the trip between the two. The town has an ancient old quarter with walls and a castle. In addition, Hondarribia features a beach across the Bidasoa from the touristy housing estate ''Sokoburu'' in Hendaye, alongside a mountain called Jaizkibel providing a hilly backdrop to the town. A road leads northeast from the beach area to Cape Higuer, located in this municipality. The town harbours the San Sebastian Airport, which serves domestic flights. The population as of 2005 is 15,700 inhabitants.
