José Caballero (baseball)
José Manuel Ortega Caballero (born August 30, 1996) is a Panamanian professional baseball utility player for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Seattle Mariners, for whom he made his debut in 2023. Caballero led the American League (AL) in stolen bases in 2024 with 44 steals. Career Amateur career Caballero attended Chipola College. In 2017, he led the school's baseball team to the JUCO World Series championship and was named the most valuable player of the tournament. The 2017 Major League Baseball draft began on June 12, 2017. The draft assigned amateur baseball players to MLB teams. Eric Lauer
Eric Lance Lauer (born June 3, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers, and in the KBO League for the Kia Tigers. He played college baseball for the Kent State Golden Flashes of Kent State University. Lauer won the National Pitcher of the Year Award at Kent State and the Padres selected him in the first round of the 2016 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut with the Padres in 2018 and was traded to the Brewers before the 2020 season. The Modesto Nuts are a Minor League Baseball team of the California League and the Single-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. They are located in Modesto, California, and are named for the several types of nuts grown in the Central Valley. They play their home games at John Thurman Field, which opened in 1955. Michael Raymond Leake (born November 12, 1987) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cincinnati Reds, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, Seattle Mariners, and Arizona Diamondbacks. Leake played college baseball for the Arizona State Sun Devils of Arizona State University. The Reds selected Leake in the first round of the 2009 MLB draft.
