José Berdié
José Berdié Places (1887 – 31 January 1931), sometimes written as Verdié, was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder for Espanyol and FC Barcelona. With the latter side, he won one Catalan championship (1913), and two titles in both the Copa del Rey and the Pyrenees Cup (1912 and 1913). Club career Born in Huesca, Berdié joined the first team of Ibèric FC during the 1903–04 season, featuring alongside the likes of Pedro Gibert and Santiago Massana, and they also were teammates at X Sporting Club and RCD Espanyol. For the former side, he played a crucial role in helping the club win the Catalan championship three times in a row between 1906 and 1908. In 1909, the club was effectively relaunched as the Club Deportivo Español, the name which still stands today. Enrique Peris
Enrique Peris de Vargas (27 February 1887 - 17 February 1953) was a Spanish footballer who played as a left winger. He spent most of his career at Barcelona, with whom he played over 300 matches, and won three Copa del Reys and five Catalan Championships. He played numerous times with the Catalan national team, and as an athlete, he stood out in the 100m dash and the long jump. He also worked as a referee. Arsenio Comamala López-Del Pan (1891 – 1976) was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder for FC Barcelona and Madrid FC. He is best known for being one of the first players to have featured for both FC Barcelona to Madrid FC. His brothers Carles and Áureo were also footballers, who both also played for Barcelona. Emilio Sampere Oliveras (8 January 1885 – 4 December 1966) was a Spanish Association football, footballer, Referee (association football), referee and Manager (association football), manager. The Second Melillan campaign ( ) was a conflict in 1909 in northern Morocco around Melilla. The fighting involved local Riffians and the Spanish Army. Historical background The Treaty of Peace with Morocco that followed the 1859–60 War entailed the acquisition of a new city perimeter for Melilla, bringing its area to its current 12 km2. Following the declaration of Melilla as a free port in 1863, the population began to increase, chiefly with Sephardic Jews fleeing from Tetouan who fostered trade in and out the city. Camp de la Indústria () or Campo de la calle Indústria was a multi-use stadium in Barcelona, Spain. It was initially used as the home venue of FC Barcelona, until the team moved to Camp de Les Corts in 1922. The capacity of the stadium was 6,000 spectators. The stadium is regarded as the main element that helped the club grow in the 1910s. Overview The stadium was opened during the presidency of Joan Gamper, who had returned as president of FC Barcelona one year before. The club had serious financial problems with significant debts by then, but Gamper got the help of local businessman to acquire the first field at Calle de la Industria. The 1913 Pyrenees Cup was the 4th tournament of the Pyrenees Cup, one of the first international football club competitions. The competition was held on the road between 2 March and 8 June, and it was won by FC Barcelona after easily disposing of La Comète et Simiot 7–2 in the final at Camp de la Indústria.
