José Antonio Luque
José Antonio Luque Ramírez (born 16 February 1974) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Luque was born in Marchena, Province of Seville. After playing five seasons with Sevilla FC's reserves he joined another side in Andalusia and the Segunda División B, Real Balompédica Linense, where he remained one year. In 2000 he signed for Recreativo de Huelva, being second-choice in his beginnings but being the most used goalkeeper in 2002–03's La Liga, in a campaign where the oldest club in Spain also reached the Copa del Rey final; during that year, he shared teams with Manuel Almunia – later of Arsenal fame. In the following season, now in the Segunda División, Luque lost his place to newly signed Toño, regained it again when his competitor left for Racing de Santander and battled with him again when he returned in January 2006, on loan. Manuel Almunia Rivero (born 19 May 1977) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He competed mainly in the Spanish lower leagues in his early years, only appearing in 26 La Liga games over two seasons with Recreativo and Albacete after starting out at Osasuna. Most of his career was spent with Arsenal, for whom he signed in 2004, going on to play 175 official matches and winning the 2005 FA Cup. Stefano Sorrentino (born 28 March 1979) is an Italian former footballer. A professional goalkeeper for his whole career, he is currently a football agent. Mariano Damián Barbosa (born 27 July 1984) is an Argentine former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Born in Lanús, Buenos Aires, Barbosa started his career with Club Atlético Banfield in 2002. In June 2005, he was signed by Spanish club Villarreal CF for a fee of €2 million alongside another player in his position, Sebastián Viera. Marcelino García Toral (; born 14 August 1965), known simply as Marcelino, is a Spanish football manager and former player who played as an attacking midfielder. He is the current head coach of La Liga club Villarreal. In a ten-year senior career, he amassed La Liga totals of 74 matches and two goals, all at the service of Sporting de Gijón. Ricardo Zamora Trophy
The Zamora Trophy () is a football award, established by Spanish newspaper '' Marca'' in 1958. The award goes to the goalkeeper who has the lowest "goals-to-games" ratio.Similar to goals against average in ice hockey or earned run average in baseball. In the inaugural year of the award, the winning goalkeeper had to play at least 15 league matches in the current season. In 1964, the limit for matches a goalkeeper had to play was raised to 22. In 1983, it was raised to 28 matches, including the rule that the goalkeeper had to play at least 60 minutes in match for it to count. In the last couple of years the list of goalkeepers who would have won the trophy prior to 1958 has been published.
